Breeam Excellent certificate Danone Innovation Centre

The design for the Danone innovation centre on the Utrecht Science Park (Netherlands) has been awarded with the BREEAM-certificate of Excellent for sustainability.

The new innovation centre is a development by OVG and clusters al the R&D activities of the divisions Baby Nutrition and Medical Nutrition of Danone. The building contains a pilot plant, laboratories, office space, storage capacity, an information centre, conference centre, coffee corner and restaurant. The design is made by Cepezed Architects and the structural design by Bartels. The start of the build will be this summer. Besides functionality and looks, sustainability plays an important role in the creation of this building. 

The sustainability of the building reflects in different aspects, like location, design, materials, flexibility, climate concept and building methods.
