The Warsaw Spire is one of the tallest buildings in Poland, offering AAA office accommodation for multinational companies requiring a prestigious address in the nation’s capital city.

The Developer, Ghelamco Poland Sp. z o.o., originally retained Bakkala Consulting Engineers to carry out multidisciplinary design review and value engineering of the project, with the objective to realize a very high quality of building at the least practical cost.  Bakkala Consulting Engineers has now been appointed to carry out the detailed design and execution design of all major engineering systems for the project.

The Bakkala team includes our in-house structural designers working together with specialists in our network including vertical transportation specialists; façade engineers; mechanical, electrical and fire engineers; and structural engineers at Bartels Polska, the Polish branch of the parent company.

Our designs are realizing substantial value through vertical transportation optimization and optimization of the central building core, returning hundreds of square metres of lettable area to floors with panoramic city views.  Our optimized structural frame will minimize material utilization and embodied energy while ensuring rapid buildability.  Façade performance and mechanical systems performance are being balanced and tuned to realize very high quality finishes and a superb internal building climate at optimal capital cost with a very good BREEAM rating for sustainable design.
