On December 2009, work started on the ambitious and futuristic headquarters of IT company ‘Decos Technology Group’. What is special about this design, is its steel construction. This Inbo Architects designed building looks more like an meteorite that has just impacted earth than an actual office. Bartels Engineering Consultants was the main constructor of this project.

The special façades challenged Bartels as well as Inbo. By working with the 3D drawingsoftware Revit, this project became reality. The building that has been designed does not have any façades that do not meet perpendicular. You can also clearly see this on the 3D model of this building. The stability does not rest on the façades of this building, but on the concrete core of this building. The façades have their own self-supporting steel construction, which rests horizontally on the floors.

The furuturistic shape is made possible because Decos endulged on the 'new way of working': all administration is fully digitalised, which causes to make cabinets and storagespace redundant. The new building is a absolute eyecatcher in the new SpaceBusinesspark in Noordwijk
